Get answers to common questions about Lower Leg.
A standard lower leg waxing appointment usually takes 20 to 30 minutes, including consultation and brief aftercare. Timing varies slightly depending on hair density and whether complementary services or pre-wax touch-ups are required.
Ensure hair is about 1/4 inch long (two to three weeks of growth). Exfoliate gently 24–48 hours before, avoid sun exposure and heavy creams on the day, and arrive with clean, dry skin.
Waxing removes hair from the root, which typically results in finer, softer regrowth over time. It does not cause coarser hair; many clients notice reduced thickness with consistent waxing.
Most clients book lower leg waxing every three to six weeks depending on individual hair growth cycles. Regular scheduling provides the most consistent results and can lead to finer regrowth over time.
Waxing can be safe for sensitive skin, but certain medications (like Accutane or retinoids) and skin conditions increase irritation risk. Inform your technician about medications and allergies so we can recommend alternatives or a patch test.
Avoid hot baths, saunas, heavy exercise and sun exposure for 24–48 hours. Keep the area clean, use a gentle moisturizer, and exfoliate lightly after 48 hours to prevent ingrown hairs and promote smooth regrowth.
